The remnants of Hurricane Irene will arrive in Albany late this afternoon, promising 2-3″ of rain for the forecast area. Flash floods are possible in areas of poor drainage. At this time, it looks like the majority of the precipitation will fall during the overnight hours, and there is a chance of some thunder in there as well.
